A: The Portland Public Market Garage is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Portland, Maine at 315 Cumberland Avenue, Portland, ME 04101, providing easy access to offices, restaurants, shopping, offices, entertainment, hotels, and the waterfront. 
 

Q: Is the garage open 24 hours? 
A: Yes, the garage is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for monthly parkers. Please review our posted rates or contact our office if you have questions about extended stays. 
 

Q: Is the garage covered? 
A: Yes. Our covered parking garage helps protect your vehicle from rain, snow, and the elements year-round. 
 

Q: Is overnight parking allowed? 
A: Yes for monthly parking only. Please review our posted rates or contact our office if you have questions about extended stays.  
 

Q: Is the garage closed during any particular holidays?  
A: No. There may be certain holidays that the garage is not staffed or closed. 
 

Q: Can two cars be registered to the same parking spot? 

A: Vehicles are not registered to an individual space. Up to two vehicles may be registered to the parking account; only one vehicle is permitted to park in the garage at a time. There will only be one parking pass created per account.

A: We accept major credit cards. We are a cashless facility.

A: Yes! Monthly parking is available for commuters, downtown employees, residents, and anyone looking for convenient long-term parking.

Q: Is the garage monitored? 
A: Yes. The garage is equipped with security cameras and regular monitoring to help provide a safe parking experience. 

 

Accessibility 
 

Q: Do you have accessible parking spaces? 
A: Yes. ADA-accessible parking spaces are available throughout the garage for vehicles displaying a valid accessible parking permit. 
 

Q: Are the elevators accessible? 
A: Yes. Elevators provide convenient access between parking levels and street level. 
 

Q: Am I able to access the garage after-hours as a monthly parker? 
A: Yes. Your key card will provide you access 24/7. 

 

Vehicle Information 
 

Q: Is there a vehicle height restriction? 
A: Yes, our height restriction is 7'1". Please check the posted clearance signs at the garage entrance before entering if you have an oversized vehicle. 
 

Q: Can I park a motorcycle? 
A: No. Motorcycles are not permitted to park in the garage. 
 

Q: Can I park oversized vehicles, trailers, or RVs? 
A: No. Oversized vehicles and trailers are not permitted to park in the garage.

Q: What should I do if I lose my parking ticket? 
A: Please use the assistance button at the exit or contact our office. A lost ticket fee may apply. 
 

Q: Who do I contact if I have trouble entering or exiting the garage? 
A: Our parking support team is available to assist. Use the help button at the gate or call the number posted throughout the garage. 
 

Q: What are monthly parkers given for credentials after leasing a parking space? 

A: Monthly parkers receive an access pass to enter and exit the garage. Once approved, a parking pass can be picked up from our garage office located on the ground floor. 
 

Q: What updates are being made to the garage? 

A:  As of 2026, the Preble Street entrance has been removed. New doors are being installed which will establish a fully secured establishment after-hours.
